David Velarde joined SeaStar Senior Services in September 2024, seeking a part-time role that aligns with his full-time state employee schedule while allowing him to give back to the community. Originally from North Idaho, David has called the Portland metro area home for the past 15 years. His dedication to helping others and his strong work ethic make him a valued member of the SeaStar team.

David’s background includes a diverse range of interests and accomplishments. During high school, he played football and wrestled, later attending the University of Idaho, where he continued his athletic journey in football and amateur boxing. In his free time, David enjoys weightlifting, visiting arcades, watching movies, attending concerts, and participating in TV and film projects.

An experienced semi-professional actor and personality, David has appeared in popular productions such as Grimm, Portlandia, The Librarians, and several feature films. His passion for creativity and connection shines both on and off the screen, enriching his approach to caregiving.
