COMPANION SERVICES
Companion Services were set up to help people get out into the community. Whether it's a ride and companion needed to attend a doctor appointment, a drive to the coast, shopping assistance or an urgent care visit, our companions will escort you or your family member any place desired.
Our companions are trained to take detailed notes during doctor visits, reporting back to the responsible party what transpired during the exam, any need for follow up visits or procedures, or new medications prescribed. For social outings, notes describing the outing, what they did, what purchases were made, and client's enjoyment are provided after each outing to assist responsible parties in making future plans or for court mandated reports.
SeaStar uses only company owned sedans and wheelchair vans - insured and maintained on a regular basis for your safety. All companions are trained in CPR and either attend a five hour training course through Community Transportation Association of American where they learn safe driving procedures and working with seniors and adults with disabilities or have received 8 hours of caregiver training.
